The professor obviously had the necessary surgical skills but was also able to communicate well and answer all questions put to him. He made me feel at ease with his intended surgery and this, together with the facilities and staff at Kims hospital, led to a ‘comfortable’ day which hopefully will prove to be totally successful. The only downside being his reluctance to agree that I shall be able to play the piano straight after the wound has healed……….. i was never able to play before !

I received excellent care at the Spire Alexandra Hospital from the reception employees and the Rochester Suite reception on all of my visits. My appointments were conducted on time with Professor Bijayendra Singh and the nurse for my pre operation assessments. The hospital was busy on each of my visits and the waiting areas had comfortable seating in a clean environment. The Professor listen to my initial description of the complaint and was fully aware of my referral from my GP. After an initial examination a further diagnostic test was arranged at a convenient date and time for me. After the diagnosis was confirmed I was given options of treatment and surgery was confirmed as the best course of action to remedy the problem. I was offered the operation at a date and time that suited my needs at the consultation. Day surgery booked for four weeks later. On the day of surgery I was made to feel at ease by the nursing team and Professor Singh. I was constantly monitored before and after my operation. The physiotherapist came to visit me before my discharge to provide me with information on how to exercise my hand to assist with my recovery. My time in the hospital was very pleasant and the catering service was exceptionally good. I have now been discharged as a patient and again Professor Singh gave me some good advice for my continuing recovery today.

Prof Singh has a good bedside manner, which reassured me when I discussed my problem with him. He is calm and very knowledgeable about his subject and can draw on previous experience to describe and recommend your best course of action

Prof. Singh made me feel at ease straight away and explained everything clearly. I knew exactly what to expect regarding my surgical procedure. On the day of my surgery he again made me feel at ease and I felt that I had nothing to worry about. He comes over as a very kind considerate person and I would not hesitate to go back to him for further treatment. In fact I was treated by him a few years ago and I was so pleased when my GP said he could refer me to him again.
